This place was a true sanctuary in the middle of a chaotic city. This photo was taken in a nunnery, one of the oldest in South America, and still functioning. Old Spanish nobles would send their girls to live in complete isolation from the world, where they spent years advancing through the ranks until they could become full sisters of the flock. The place was truly beautiful, with stunning colours and amazing greenery adding a nice balance.
The highlight had to be the three mature orange trees in the central courtyard full of fruit, and this represented one of those moments where I stopped and stared, but didn’t take a photo.
